Bamban, Tarlac
The lead pack traveled through the rugged roads of Bamban, Tarlac en route to San Fabian, Pangasinan, continuing their journey from Balanga, Bataan. Under the sweltering summer sun of April 28, 1963, the peloton battled steep inclines and dusty trails, testing both stamina and strategy. Conversion Tolentino of the formidable Ilocandia Team surged ahead with a powerful sprint to claim victory in the eighth lap. Despite fierce competition, Cipriano Mariano held firm, skillfully defending his position to retain the coveted overall leadership. The crowd erupted in cheers as the cyclists crossed the provincial borders, each lap bringing them closer to Tour of Luzon glory.
