Today, we honor the bravery and sacrifice of Filipino and American soldiers who fought side by side in Bataan during World War II.
As we commemorate this historic day, we also celebrate Filipino resilience through another legacy of strength — the 1963 Tour of Luzon, which once took a powerful lap through Bataan. Seventh Stage from Rosario, Cavite to Balanga, Bataan won by Rufino Gabot in a dead-heat finish with Benjamin Buitre and overall leader Cipriano Mariano on April 27, 1963.
Let us remember: courage is timeless — whether in battle or on the winding roads of Luzon.
