Located in the main square of the city, the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Conversion of St. Paul is one of the oldest Augustinian churches in the Philippines, founded in the 17th century. Built with modified Baroque architecture, it was designed by the Ilocanos to withstand earthquakes. Over the years, the church has endured numerous disasters but has been carefully restored, preserving its historical and spiritual significance.
